Over 70 guests from across the Churcher's College Community attended the Benefactor's Reception on Thursday 27 November. The evening provided a wonderful opportunity to thank all those who have supported the Richard Churcher Foundation and the provision of bursaries. We were delighted to host donors and volunteers from our community, whether they are Old Churcherians, parents, Governors or friends of the school. Two current pupils serenaded the guests, by playing the piano in turns, whilst 1722 Fizz was poured and canapés were served by three current Sixth Form students.
Guests chatted and mingled in the auditorium until halfway through the evening, when headmaster Mr Williams gave a thoughtful speech on the work of the Richard Churcher Foundation and how contributions to the Foundation can be absolutely life-changing for each bursary recipient. The impact of a bursary often has a far wider reach than the recipient and their family, and indeed often benefits the whole school community.
We are very grateful to everyone for their continued support of the Foundation which enables us to build upon the legacy of our Founder, Richard Churcher, which began over 300 years ago.
