On Friday 6 March, over 240 people and 30 teams came together to compete in the annual Spring Quiz, kindly sponsored by BCM Wilson Hill, which raised an incredible £5,900 for the Richard Churcher Foundation and the Parents' Association.
This year's event was organised by the Development Office with parents, staff, alumni and friends across all the generations competing for the 'Crossman Cup', taking on the quiz master, our very own Academic Registrar, Ian Crossman. The Headmaster, Bursar and their wives were in charge of marking whilst the Deputy Heads ran the bar!
Teams had to answer questions to seven rounds including 'Winners', 'Tunes', 'Where in the World' and 'Pot Luck', as well as take on some other word and and picture challenges. Mr Crossman's polished 'Shine Radio' presenter style delivery kept the audience entertained with frequent light-hearted interjections, and quiz goers were also treated to a delicious buffet curry served by the school's caterers, Sodexo.
All eyes were on the leader board as teams jostled for first place with their competitive spirits rising to the challenge! The evening concluded with the defending champions, aptly named the 'Defending Champions', taking the top the spot on the leader board as they secured first place once again.
Our thanks goes to everyone who made the evening such fun and a great success!
