At the end of November, over 70 people from the Churcher's Community attended The Benefactors' Reception - an evening in which we gather together and thank all those who have supported the Richard Churcher Foundation and the provision of bursaries. We were delighterd to host Governors, donors and volunteers, who were treated to a glass of Churcher's 1722 fizz and canapes, whilst being serenaded beautifully by pianist and current year 5 pupil Isabelle, who is working towards her grade 8 piano. Current sixth form students Ollie, Jake, Maddie, Anthony and Toby aptly served guests drinks and canapes, whilst they chatted and mingled in the Donald Brooks Auditorium.
Halfway through the evening, there was a thoughtful speech given by the Headmaster Mr Williams, who spoke about the work of the Richard Churcher Foundation and how our supporters' contributions can be absolutely life-changing for each bursary recipient. The impact often goes far wider than the recipient, and indeed benefits the whole school community.
We are very grateful to everyone for their continued support of the Foundation which enables us to build upon Richard Churcher's legacy which started over 300 years ago.
