Open Day is always a highlight in the Churcher's calendar and this year was no different! With the sun shining and families arriving in droves, there was a wonderful atmosphere throughout the day.
Development Office staff manned the burgundy Churcher's Community gazebo overlooking the Cricket Pitch and greeted guests and OC sportsmen and women alike. Blue and white stripey deckchairs offered a perfect view of the cricket pitch, where OCs could recline and reminisce under clear blue skies.
We were delighted to see so many Old Churcherians, former staff and former parents come and visit us, thank you!
OC Tennis
Following on from the success of last year's inaugural OC tennis event, we were pleased to welcome a full contingent of OCs back this year to take on the school teams. Matches were played in a mixed doubles format and despite some very competitive games, the school took the victory, winning 17-14.

Water Polo
We were delighted to host the first ever OC Water Polo match at Open Day and what a match it was! With a full squad of OCs, many of whom play water polo at university, the match was destined to be competitive. Both teams displayed incredible skills and played the game in great spirits with the school first team narrowly coming out on top, winning 11-8. We are looking forward to the rematch next year already!

Cricket
The stalwarts of the OC cricket team returned to Churcher's once again, looking to extend their unbeaten run over the school since 2018. This year the team was supplemented by pupils from the fourth year, who stepped up and did a fantastic job against a strong school side. Despite a sterling comeback from the OCs in bat, including three consecutive sixes from Seb Herold that nearly won them the game, the school managed to hold their nerve, winning by 14 runs.
The final score was as follows:
1st XI made – 186/7
OCs made 172/4
