Almost 60 organisations were represented at the recent Careers Convention held in the school's Sports Hall on Thursday 7 March. It was a wonderful opportunity for current pupils to meet the representatives of various organisations and discuss future career options. Exhibitors were representing a variety of sectors including Engineering, Forestry, Medicine, Architecture, Law and Media agencies.
It was wonderful to see a number of OCs attending as Exhibitors at the Convention as they are now firmly set on their own career paths, they were able to interact with current pupils and give advice on career pathways. Throughout the evening, informative lectures were given in the school's Auditorium by some of the representatives.
It is hoped the evening will pave the way for connections to be made and ties strengthened between all those present. Our thanks goes to Kirsty Verney and Caroline Thompson from the Careers office for putting on such an informative evening.
