During the last week of the Summer Term, pupils took part in a non-uniform day and rugby festival to raise money for the charity Maddy’s Mark.
The charity was set up to further the legacy of Old Churcherian Maddy Lawrence who sadly passed away in March 2022, aged 20, following a rugby injury and supports two causes she held closest to her heart - women’s rugby and mental health.
The festival included a whole-school mixed rugby touch tournament, with many other fun activities for students to get involved in, such as fun warm-up and cool-down sessions, live music performances as well as stalls to purchase some much needed refreshments.
The total raised for the charity from the event so far is over £4,800.
Maddy’s parents, Simon and Karen, said, “we would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks to Churcher’s College, parents and children for their incredible support for Maddy and her charity.”
