On a balmy June evening near Guidlford, Mike and Hilary Wagstaff of Greyfriars vieyard and producers of Churcher's 1722 Classic Cuvee, treated 40 people from the Churcher's community to a fascinating tour of their estate.
Guests left having learnt a lot about the wine-making process, the machinery involved and tasting 6 different wines.
All proceeds from the evening, including sales of Greyfriars wines, were directed to the Richard Churcher Foundation and the provision of bursary awards at Churcher's College - over £1,000.
