What a great morning of sport we had on Saturday for the OC hockey and netball matches!

It was great to see so many Old Churcherians from a variety of year groups (Class of 86 through to Class of 22) coming together and competing for the Eaton trophies, and to have lots of friends and family on the side lines showing their support. We were treated to three fantastic, closely fought matches, all played with plenty of good spirit, sportsmanship and most importantly fun! Thankfully, the weather managed to hold too.

Thank you to all the Old Churcherians who took part in the matches, and to Andy Cairns for managing the men's hockey team.

The final results were as follows:

  • OC Women Vs 1XI Girls Hockey:  1-2
  • OC Men Vs 1XI Boys Hockey:  6-4
  • OC Women Vs 1VII Netball:  13-17

OC Sport is always a great opportunity to come back to the school, meet up with old friends and staff, and make new connections. Whilst it inevitably takes a bit of time to gel on the pitch or court, by the final whistle, the teams look like they have played together for years! And whilst fitness levels may not be what they used to be, the competitive streak is still as strong as ever! We would love to see more Old Churcherians getting involved in OC Sport, so please look out for the future events and join in the fun!
