The Petersfield Shakespeare Festival continues to enjoy a close link with Churcher’s, and many Churcherians, past and present have been involved both in stage and behind the scenes:

Freya Hollis (13) played Miranda in The Tempest in 2016.

Peter Dobson (75) has produced all printed marketing material every year from 2016.

Adam Tutt (18) played the Duke of York in Henry V in 2018.

Jenny Clarke (LAMDA teacher) appeared in AMSND in 2013.

Roscoe Davey (current pupil) appeared as the young Hamlet in 2019.

Crispin Glancy (18) played Young MacDuff in Macbeth 2014, Juno in The Tempest in 2016, Hortensio in The Taming of the Shrew in 2018, Romeo in the 2020 film Post Mortem and will play Lysander/Flute/Peaseblossom in AMSND this year.

Tom O’Kelly (14) played Amiens in As You Like It in 2017.

Abigail Glancy (14) has designed all festival artwork since 2018

Jack Titley (18) worked as Assistant Stage Manager in 2019.

This year’s Petersfield Shakespeare Festival is all set to transform the lockdown nightmare to a midsummer dream with a perfect play in a new magical setting. A versatile cast of eight will delight audiences with A Midsummer Night’s Dream, performed amongst the woodland wonders of Wylds Christmas Tree Farm, Liss from 20th – 25th July 2021.

Audiences are encouraged to arrive early and start the  evening with a drink from the Bottoms Up bar, then enjoy a picnic whilst listening to live music before a promenade up the hill to witness warring fairies, sparring lovers and a group of wannabe actors who are putting on a play…

Tickets on sale now so come and enjoy the family-friendly festival vibe, beautiful surroundings and a sparkling show.
