The year of 67 was a good one for making friends at Churcher's. A group of seven of us still meet regularly—and though we were all in the same year, three of us were actually Captains of College! Peter Hilder held the post for the 1966/67 academic year. Then Kevan Pegley stayed for an extra term to take Cambridge entrance. (Churcher's was of course a grammar school in those days, and that was the system.) He was invited to be Captain of College for that one term. When he left Rob Brown, who'd stayed on to make up for a long absence due to illness, became Captain until the end of the 67/68 year. I wonder if that's ever happened before or since.
