In memoriam

Keith Stroud (former staff) called the office to let us know the sad news that his brother in law Rob Barron had died.

Keith writes...

Born, bought up and educated in Yorkshire Robert entered the teaching profession after successful completion of a Physics degree at Sheffield university. He worked as a physics teacher in both Suffolk and Kent and married his wife Eileen in 1974.

In 1987 he joined Churcher’s College to teach physics and electronics. He was well respected by colleagues and students alike and continued working enthusiastically until his retirement in 2003. Robert passed away after a long illness  on 26th October 2022.
